There are spectacular walks in and around Llanbedrog be they paths which weave their way across the headland, sandy coves and endless beaches. There are numerous good books around that will not only guide you on your walk but also give you the history of some of the places that you are passing through.

In any event you should look after yourself by following this advice:

Wear strong waterproof footwear and appropriate clothing
Take waterproof (not just showerproof) outer clothing
Wear strong trousers to protect your legs against brambles and other vegetation
A simple first aid kit to deal with minor injuries
Take a whistle and torch in case of emergency
Always tell someone where you are going and what time you expect to be back
Always take an OS map with you and maybe a compass
Listen to local weather forecast before starting so you can prepare for any changes
If walking along the seashore, check the times of the tides so that you are not cut off by rising water
Guard against all risks of fire
Keep to public footpaths across farmland
Obey the countryside code, for example don't leave litter, keep dogs under control and away from animals, shut gates behind you, be a good visitor
