Llanbedrog Beach, which is now owned by the National Trust, is a safe and sandy beach and very popular during the summer months. There is a National Trust Car Park above the beach, so don't forget your card for free parking! You can rent a beach hut from the National Trust either for the season, weekly or daily. Prices are £250 for the Season, £35 weekly until 11th July and £55 thereafter, £15 daily, all including VAT. To rent these contact Beach hut hire: North Wales Area Office: 01690-713300. There have always been beach huts on this beach starting with tents and now 60 brightly painted wooden ones, see picture. But thought you may like to see some old pictures as well see below!

Our thanks to Kevin Fenton-Herring of the Boathouse for allowing us to use the above two photos of the beach huts and the Boathouse with the Plas from his web site, both here and on our Llanbedrog sticker.

Carreg-y-Defaid (1 mile east of Llanbedrog on the Pwllheli road) - where the mussel beds are exposed when the tide is out. A dog friendly beach but please remember your pooper scooper.

Quarry Beach / Glanymor Ty'n Towyn (reached along Quarry Road from Llanbedrog) - this lovely, sandy beach is on the edge of the Warren with a free car park. You can still see some of the old quarry buildings on the headland and the remains of a jetty which was used to ship the stone from the quarry.
