Canix or Canine Cross-country is a relatively new dog sport. Click on the logo above to see more.

The younger members of VANISTICA, that is Louise, Ian (Littlewood), Grandson Jacob

and Granddaughter Tanita started running in late 2005.

The sport is now well established and hold cross-country events about every 2-3 weeks from September to April each year

The younger members now have Granddad running as well.

It is a very good fun day out with people from many different levels of fitness taking part.

Below are a few pictures of the family running this year.

Louise running with Luca (Ch Vanistica's Romeo Sh CM.) & his sister Misty (Ch Vanistica's Rainbow at Bluequills)

at Westonbirt Arboretum, Gloucestershire. She was running in the Ladies Extreme Class 5km.

Believe me these two dogs go for it and it takes some staying upright at times.

Louise was second, and was second in the overall national competition.

This is Jacob running with Nina (Ch Vanistica's Soul Survivor) at Haldon Forest, Devon

Jacob was first in the Junior 11-12yrs 2.5km, and won the overall national competition.

Tanita Running with Vanistica Up To Date in the youngster's fun race 2.5km. (with Louise who helps organises this event alongside the main race)

and also at Cheltenham racecourse on a rainy day with Tia the Japanese Chin
