David Wykes is a Cambridge physics graduate who played with the Footlights. He has had a dual career, in technical and corporate public relations consultancy and as a pianist and musical director, mostly in the theatre. His long collaboration with the creative theatrical partnership of Aline Waites and Robin Hunter includes The Illustrated Victorian Songbook (Michael Joseph, 1984). He believes that musicology is an unsustainable industry, too important to be left solely to the professionals. |
