This friendly Church has a pleasing, carpeted, interior.  Refreshments are provided after services to welcome visitors and have fellowship together.  There is an optional half hour bible study group at 11:15 a.m. on the 1st and 3rd Sundays. A portable ramp is provided for wheelchair users and there is ample parking at the back of the Church.The position of incumbent of the benefice is currently vacant.

St Mary's is a large and busy church with a warm and friendly atmosphere. 10am services are most popular with a quieter more initimate feel at other services. It is a Fairtrade church and has a Traidcraft stall on the second Sunday of every month. There is a strong musical tradition and excellent choir as well as a wide range of interesting groups and activities. There is full disabled access including toilets at the west end of the church.

St James' Church was built in 1860 in blue brick and stone Gothic revival Early English style. Services are varied in central Anglican tradition with a mixed choir. Ramped access, toilets and kitchen facilities are available with a  modern hall used for various activities including Thursday cooked lunches.
