The town itself is extremely ancient and historical with stone built houses, narrow street and an atmosphere peculiarly its own. There is a ruined castle (left) which belonged at one time to Richard Duke of Gloucester, and the tourist my see his bedroom in the “Gloucester Arms Inn”.

There is a fine Town Hall (rigth) and a market square (bottom) as well as a wide selection of shops.
