“The Cotswolds” is used to describe an area of the south midlands, the definition of which is rather vague, but normally includes Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and some surrounding areas.

The Glocestershire village shown here is typical. Very popular with tourists, especially Americans, Bourton-on-the-Water

With its bird gardens and motor museum Bourton is a small village, with a river running through it. A football match takes place in the river between local teams in the summer.
