Two light houses have been lost and when the present light house was built the precaution of building it well inland was take.
The pier was built in 1901 and replaced previous structures that had washed away. The view from the pier (top right) goes east towards Overstrand, and west to West Runton.
The parish church has the tallest tower in the county (centre right). The building was badly damaged in an air raid but rebuilt.
East cliff (bottom right) has a path that leads to Happy Valley, and on to the Royal Cromer Golf Course.
East Beach (below) has fine sand at low tide, and the crab boats are hauled up to unload at the bottom of the Gang Way.
