The Angel of Mons

This army is after a discussion on the HOTT list. It is based upon the myth that an angel appeared to the British army at the Battle of Mons in 1914. There were various stories about this shortly after the battle but supposedly the angel helped the British who were in dire straights, some reports suggested it was St George. For a fuller description do a search on "Angel of Mons" and you should get loads of information. Around the time of the legend there was also a short story about British infantry being helped by the ghosts of long dead longbowmen from Crecy or Agincourt as they tried to halt the advancing Germans. These concepts are just the ingredients for a HOTT army and lend themselves nicely to the required troop types. Infantry are of course basic Hordes as in WW1 most generals had yet to appreciate that human wave assaults might not be the best tactics so they just threw in another lot when one unit ran out of men. There is flyer to represent the Royal Flying Corps, a BE 2c from 1914, it may not have been present at the battle but doubtless they would have had some planes for scouting - besides, I like it. There are 2 HMGs as Shooters and an Artillery piece. I've not firmed up on which unit is the general yet, either a Horde or the Artillery as it can't be St George or the HMGs. The plane is from Skytrex and is a couple of scales down so it fits better, the infantry, guns, bowmen and St George are all Irregular.
