The village has many amenities including two grocers, a bank, post office, doctor's surgery, police & fire stations, internet cafe, take away kebab house, a number of tavernas and a very good family restaurant.

There are also a number of mobile food vendors who visit the village on a daily basis. The mountains are a thirty minute drive from the village.

The historic monastery of Kykkos is just over an hour away and has a world class Byzantine museum. The Graeco-Roman city of Kourion, which has been extensively excavated, possesses important mosaics and the open-air theatre which overlooks the sea. Here concerts and classical plays are frequently performed during the summer months.

Other nearby fascinating sites include the Knights Templar Castle at Kolossi, as well as the World Heritage mosaics and tombs at Paphos. All these sites are within half to an hour's drive from the village.
