SOUTH LAKES MAP

HOW TO GET THERE
You can reach the cottage by three routes - to the south or north of the Lakes Coniston or Windermere. All routes are described after leaving the M6 at junction 36.
North Route
By-pass Kendal taking the A591 towards The Lakes and Windermere. Continue to Ambleside then take the A593 to Coniston. Continue through the village towards Torver.

Ferry Route
There is likely to be a queue for the ferry at busy holiday times. By-pass Kendal taking the A591 towards The Lakes and Windermere. Fork left onto the B5284 to Hawkshead via Ferry. When you have crossed the main roads A5074 and A592, a minor road takes you to Ferry Nab just south of Bowness. A frequent ferry service takes you to Sawrey, then the B5285 follows Esthwaite Water and by-passes Hawkshead to the head of Coniston Lake. In Coniston village take the A593 towards Torver.

South Route
Follow directions to Barrow and Ulverston through Newby Bridge to Greenodd. At Greenodd take the right turn A5092 then fork right on the A5084 to Torver. At the T-junction in Torver turn right on the A593 towards Coniston
