ALL YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED?

A - Arrival time is from 3.30p.m.on Friday.

B - Beds are provided with quilts and/or blankets (No quilt covers supplied)

C - Cars, there is a BP garage in Coniston

D - Departure time is before10.00a.m. on Friday

E - English Tourism Council rates "Shelt Gill" as * * * accommodation.

F - Food can be bought at the village shops and Co-op.

G -Garden chairs are available.

H- Heating with night storage heaters in all rooms is provided at no cost.

I - Iron and ironing board is supplied but no washing machine.

J - Jogging and Joy are recommended.

K- Keys, you will be told where to find them. The Caretaker's telephone number will be supplied.

L - Linen is not supplied for beds, you will need 2 sheets(single or double) and 2 pillowcases for each bed. Or if you prefer a quilt- 1 sheet and 1 quilt cover.

M-Many visitors like to walk straight from the cottage up the lane to Old Man and Walna Scar.

N- Night life is quiet but pleasant. Pubs, restaurants some concerts and theatre etc. in summer.

O - Overseas visitors can arrange foreign payment facilities and hire of bed linen.

P - Pubs are in abundance. The "Ship Inn" is only a staggering 100 metres downhill.

Parking for one car in a lock-up garage, space for another in front.

Pets are welcome if well behaved!

Towels are not supplied.

U- are asked to take off muddy footwear before entering the cottage

V- Variety of outdoor activities available locally. Walking, boating, fishing, adventure activities.

W- Walk to Coniston (15 mins.) along the old railway track in front of the Cottage.

X - Xenophobia is not in evidence; the sheep are friendly, if not worried by pets.

Y - Youdal family organise Pony Trekking from their farm across the field at Spoon Hall.
