Words to.....
Early September.......by Bob Kirkpatrick
The
warmth of the evening comes flowing
friends gather 'round.
The strength of the festival's growing,
like children you can't hold 'em down.
Early September's a time to remember
The songs they are singing are fine.
And the weather it could not be better
or maybe, it's only the haze o' the wine.
The ladies are dressing so easy
Colours mingle and rhyme.
Those that do dance sure look pleasing,
And the bells are ringing in time.
There's no better place to seek freedom
No finer company.
Than all of the friends you'll see that come
To make and share festivities.
