Leslie Milo Forsyth the youngest son of Elizabeth emily milner and Thomas taylor Forsyth

Leslie joined the 1st Australian Imperial Force on 13 November 1915, enlisting in Ross, Tasmania. He served with the 3rd Tunnelling Company (possibly known as No. 3 Mining Company) and returned to Australia on 6 September 1919. He rose to the rank of Sergeant Major and was awarded the Military Medal in 1919.

It is possible that Leslie was working in the Tasmanian mines at the time of his enlistment.
