Sarah was baptised on 28 June 1854 in Bridlington. Until recently it was thought that James' youngest daughter was christened Sarah dosea. However, her GRO marriage records her second name as Dorsey. Such a second name generally indicates a parents or family surname. An Ann Dorsey, perhaps on the Linsley side,  was christened on 19jun1794 in Great Driffield.

A search of GRO marriages for the fourth quarter of 1873 suggest that Sarah's second name was Dorsey. Neither is a known family name.

Family hearsay records one of Sarah's children as a Canon of Lichfield Cathedral. At this time Cathedral records can not substantiate this. However the records of Lichfield Theological College show:

Stanley Frederick Linsley was admitted to the college by the bishop on 24 October 1927. He passed the Durham matriculation in June 1928, his GDE part 1 in October 1928 and part 2 in March 1929. He was made deacon in the Trinity Term of 1929 and went to Holy Trinity, North Ormesby in the diocese of York.

It is possible that Stanley Frederick Linsley is the son of Frederick Linsley and that after his curacy he returned to Lichfield and to the Cathedral.
