A rare visit to Leeds by German improvising Trombonist Paul Hubweber

Paul Hubweber joins three British improvisors, John Jasnoch, Charlie Collins and Paul Hession

Thursday 11th December

The Adelphi, 3-5 Hunslet Road Leeds LS10 1JQ, UK

Doors open 8:00 pm £4 waged and £2 unwaged

Paul Hubweber - trombone. Hubweber is an avant-garde improvising trombonist who refuses to be confined by established playing techniques. As Cadence magazine observed, "Paul Hubweber's technique incorporates lots of small sounds: muted bent pictures, rapid-fire blips and crackles, and growls, to name a few. There is some Paul Rutherford in at least his style, but few other overt influences".

Charlie Collins - alto sax, flute, clarinet. Original member of Clock DVA, founding member of The Box. One of a select few to have played both Company Week and Top Of The Pops.

John Jasnoch - guitar. Once made a living playing Country & Western, now confined to working in the most unpopular area of music humanity has ever known.

Paul Hession - drums. A stalwart with a deserved impeccable reputation - needs no introduction, etc.
