Job Specification

The VDP is expected to satisfy the criteria which are listed in the handbook which is provided to them by the Deanery.

Similarly the trainer/practice will ensure that we comply to all our roles and responsibilities.

Here at Acorn Dental Practice we a looking for a pleasant, motivated individual who will fit into this small sub-urban practice. The applicant must have a professional attitude and a strong desire to learn and be taught, with a keen interest in postgraduate development.

At the practice we will be able to offer the VDP a modern working environment with the latest in equipment and technology. The practice is fully computerised with digital xrays.

The type of work available will be diverse and plentiful in supply with the exception of orthodontics. There will be plenty of opportunity to plan complex cases with the trainer and also to assist with implant placements.

Most of the patients are regular attenders and have a good understanding of dental care.

VDP s are encouraged to manage their own diary and timings for appointments with the aim of gradually improving efficiency throughout the year. We believe in concentrating on quality and allowing speed to follow and not vice-versa.

We operate an open door policy and close/personal interaction is also available with our prosthetic and crown & bridge laboratories.
