Bridges
An effective way to replace missing teeth. Like other bridges, a dental bridge uses abutments for support and to hold it in place. It is custom moulded in a dental laboratory to perfectly fit your teeth.

A missing tooth really changes a person's smile, but a bridge is a good way to get your smile back. The solution can look as good as your natural teeth.

A Maryland bridge also uses adjacent teeth for support. But unlike the others, a Maryland bridge does not require extensive reduction of supporting teeth.

Instead, only the backs of the teeth are slightly reduced - see figure 'Before B'. Then the small wings of the bridge which are made of metal are bonded to the backs of the adjacent teeth - see figure 'After A'.
