This movie gained an Academy Award Nomination for writer/director Roger Goldby and Feasible Films producer Barney Reisz at the Oscars in 1998, in the category "Best Live Action Short".

Michael Omer wrote and produced the score at the Music to Picture Company studios in London, and subsequently dubbed the film with Mike Dowson at world famous SHEPPERTON STUDIOS in Teddington.

The movie has subsequently enjoyed astonishing success both in the UK and at international film festivals. It was on release in London's West End both with the JAMES BOND film TOMORROW NEVER DIES, and with BEAN starring Rowan Atkinson. Indie cinema releases have seen it accompanying films as diverse as Woody Allen's DECONSTUCTING HARRY, THE ICE STORM, Mike Figgis' ONE NIGHT STAND and Paul Schrader's TOUCH. In addition the UK's Channel 4 immediately bought and showed the film, and it is part of in-flight entertainment on VIRGIN ATLANTIC AIRLINES, who had ferried Barney & Roger across the Atlantic to Hollywood for Oscar Night.

PRESS REACTION

Roger Goldby's brilliantly conceived script sees various pairs of people engaged in what THE LONDON TIMES called: "Five of the most irritating telephone situations imaginable..." It described the movie as "...a treat..." and affectionately "Fifteen minutes of pure agony."...!!! TIME OUT said: "A neat, stylish, horribly familiar black comedy about a variety of people (Brit celebs a-plenty) plagued by telephone (nervous) breakdown: frustation, anxiety, obsession, sheer tedium and technological absurdity..."
