Music specially composed for LITTLE LORD FAUNTLEROY for BBCTV contributed to its receiving an International EMMY Award in 1995. This stylish BBC costume drama starred GEORGE BAKER, himself a veteran of many Hollywood classics. Michael undertook the writing AND orchestration of this memorable score, and as on all his productions, he then conducted and produced the final digital masters. London's Snake Ranch Studios, in fashionable Chelsea Harbour was the venue for this most enjoyable project. The music was delivered on-time, and of course on-budget!
The six-parter has been sold to more than twenty countries, and the movie-length version has been shown coast-to-coast in the USA on the Disney Channel.
Mark Twain's THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER has been sold to many territories, and featured heavily in sales at BBC Worldwide's Brighton Showcase. It starred KEITH MICHELL who has played Henry VIII many times on TV before, most notably in "The Six Wives of Henry VIII" which is one of the top-selling BBCTV productions ever, having sold to 66 territories. Michael conducted one of the UK's leading film orchestras - the CITY OF LONDON PHILHARMONIC led by Rolf Wilson, for this stunning production.
THE BIZ! has been a very popular youth drama on BBC1 television, for which Michael Omer wrote, arranged and produced music and lyrics for all 24 episodes of the three series. Originated by Marilyn Fox ( BAFTA Nominated "The Chronicles of Narnia"), it tells the story of a great bunch of young people working their way through drama school - their trials and tribulations - the highs and the lows! It has sold to many territories including Australia, USA, Norway, France, Hong Kong, Israel, South Africa, Greece, Portugal, Poland, Malta, Eire and Iceland!

FIVE CHILDREN AND IT and it's sequel THE RETURN OF THE PSAMMEAD are two charming drama series involving the characters of the legendary children's author E.NESBIT.
FIVE CHILDREN... was nominated for an INTERNATIONAL EMMY and a UK British Academy Award (BAFTA).
The musical scores for both productions were appropriately charming for the Victorian times in which they were set, and featured a haunting closing title song - "Wishing" - sung by the fabled creature pictured above, for which Michael also wrote the lyrics. Francis Wright who characterized the Psammead works extensively in animatronics, and recently was involved in Hallmark's new US feature of ALICE.
