Our principal composer is MICHAEL OMER ,
pictured above at the BBCTV Centre,
London, with his SILVER award from the NEW YORK FILM & TELEVISION FESTIVAL.
This was for a stunning all-singing, all-dancing
Phil Spector pastiche for BBC Television which starred amongst others UK
television stars Bruce Forsyth, Paul Daniels, Clive James, David Jason,
Lenny Henry, Pauline Quirke and Linda Robson.
BIOGRAPHY:
MICHAEL OMER
graduated from the Guildhall
School of Music & Drama in London where he
studied with Patric Standford (himself a pupil of RUBBRA and he HOLST).
He was awarded the Alexander Grosz Memorial
Prize for composition, and was also outright
winner in the Llangollen International Composers'
Competition. His music for the concert hall
however, has in recent years been overtaken by an amazing diversity of music
for the media. He has written music for a film which received an Academy Award Nomination (1998),
he has produced a number five chart hit in the UK (1998), he has appeared on the UK Music Show
Top of the Pops
with Celine Dion
& Madonna and his music continues to
be heard worldwide in many film and television productions as they continue
to sell in all territories.
Take some time to explore the wide diversity of
work undertaken by this versatile composer, and then do
get in touch to find out how we can help you with
your music needs - whether large or small.....
