How to Find us    Places to Visit    Views    Bookings    Breakfast Menu

Our cosy home nestling amongst the woodlands in the beautiful Conwy Valley has superb views across to the river and the historic Carneddau hills.

During roof renovations we found 17th century pegged slates on the original roof which was still under the 20th century one! This adds to our records that show a dwelling to have been on this spot since the early 1600s. We have details of the previous occupiers and their families back to 1668.

The 8 acres of fields surrounding the house and garden still retain the old names given on the tithe register. An ingle-nook fire-place, original oak beams and the Victorian pitch-pine mantel-shelf all add to the friendly atmosphere of Firs Cottage and bear witness to its age.

We have books, maps and leaflets, available on most topics, to help you plan your visits, walks and longer excursions. We are happy to make suggestions for your days out too!

We will fill flasks, make suggestions to help you and dry your clothes if the weather catches you out!

Firs Cottage is our home and we enjoy sharing sharing it with our guests.

 Croeso!  Welcome!
