Ronnie Ehrlich I grew up in a valley where the earth is rich and red...often after having a big bonfire I would find lumps of fired earth; hard, deep in colour...exciting! Born in Israel, the desert to me is a place of love and inspiration, a home - in its "beingness", spaciousness, stillness, and powerful landscapes where form rules, enhanced by the sharp contrast of light and shadow and by the rich warm colours of rock. In making I look for simplicity, earthiness and warmth.
