Doorway / Link Pages

What is a "Doorway Page"?
A doorway page sometimes called a bridge page, link page, jump page, entry page, pointer page, gateway page, etc, is simply a page designed to rank well with search engines. If the site is ranked well the result significantly increases the traffic to the site, thus making the world aware of the site's contents.

The doorway pages cost £25 per hundred. We recommend having some incorporated into your site!

Doorway Page Construction
The doorway page is designed specifically to look good to the intended search engine. This is not normally a handicap as most doorway pages are designed to act as a "Link" or "Doorway" to your site by use of a clickable link and/or a ‘META refresh’ tag.

How Do We Create Doorway Pages?
We decide upon the exact keyword phrase we wish to target. We Choose the keywords carefully.

The major bug bear with the creation of doorway pages.
Optimizing your code, submitting your page, checking your placement then re-optimising and resubmitting. It can become a vicious circle which is why this tactic is not used more readily. This is to your advantage of course as it gives you the opportunity to leapfrog your competition and get to the top of the search engines.

There are certain circumstances where, if you want to be found successfully on the search engines, you will need to build a doorway page to overcome certain design constraints. This is due to the limitations search engines have with regards to spidering pages generated dynamically (such as CGI pages) or if your site relies heavily on the use of frames or Java Script.

It is a well-known fact that search engines have a notorious problem with framed sites and doorway pages represent a logical and, in the main, necessary solution.

However, if you are considering creating such pages beware. All search engines take a dim view of ‘inappropriate’ use of doorway pages such as optimizing a doorway page for keywords that have no relevance to the page they are pointed to.

Tricking the browser into visiting your site is rarely a good idea. Consider how you feel when you arrive at a likely looking site only to find that its content is so unconnected to your search query that the only explanation is the use of trickery.

Used responsibly doorway pages can make a big difference to the number of visitors your site attracts and therefore your online profitability.
