Captain John Harriman.

Commander of The Enterprise NCC 1701-B on its maiden voyage in 2293.
Just shortly after leaving space dock, the Enterprise received a distress call from two transport ships caught in a temporal nexus. After checking to see if any other ship was closer, Harriman ordered the ship in. With no weapons of use, and no tractor beam, it was left up to the retired Kirk to offer a solution.
This solution involve work being carried out on a lower deck, which Kirk completed himself. It was at this time The Enterprise was hit by an energy ribbon, part of the ship was lost along with Kirk.
Who allowed The Enterprise on it’s Maiden voyage with critical systems not installed? And who gave Command of Starfleets Flagship to such an inexperienced Commander?.
Harriman will always be known as the Captain of The Enterprise on which Kirk was lost.

Captain Rachel Garrett.

First (and some would say long overdue) Female Commander of a USS Enterprise, namely The Enterprise NCC 1701-C. She also has the distinction of being the only Enterprise Captain to die on an Enterprise Star Ship.
In 2344 Garrett was on a rescue mission to the Klingon outpost Narenda III that had come under attack from the Romulans. Under fire from three Romulan ships and badly damaged, Garrett and her crew were transported twenty-two years into the future by a temporal rift. The Enterprise “C” sends out a distress call that is picked up by The Enterprise “D” who give aid. During Garrett’s stay in the year 2366 both The Enterprise “D” and Enterprise “C” come under attack from Klingon Birds of Prey and Garrett is killed. Her ship & crew survive and return to the year 2344.

Captain Jean-Luc Picard.

Picard takes Command of the newly Commissioned Enterprise NCC 1701-D in 2363 until its destruction on Veridian III in 2371, the mission which saw the death of Captain James T. Kirk.
Picard was born in 2305 in Labarre, France, Earth. His first Command was the USS Stargazer NCC-2893 in 2335, which he commanded until 2355, when the Ferengi destroyed it in an attack. (Commanded two, Lost two, Not good Jean-Luc).
In 2372 Picard took Command of a new Sovereign Class ship, The Enterprise NCC 1701-E.

Captain Spock.

Spock was promoted to Captain in 2277 and became Commander of The Enterprise NCC 1701 which was now a training ship.
Born in 2230 in Shi’Kahr, Vulcan to a Human Mother and Vulcan Father.
He joined The Enterprise NCC 1701 on 2252 under the Command of Captain Pike and stayed on to serve under Captain Kirk. With over seventeen years Spock is the longest serving “Enterprise” Officer (as you would expect with the life span of a Vulcan or even Half Vulcan).
In 2285 he was killed while saving The Enterprise and her crew. The casket containing his body was fired towards the Genesis Planet where it made a “soft” landing and due to the regenerative nature of the planet, his body began to grow. With the successful rescue, and subsequent retrieval of his spirit from Dr. McCoy, Spock mad a full recovery.
