As a Branch, Fylde is committed to training and improving all of its Members through regular mounted Rallies and unmounted instruction.  Ultimately, we hope to produce knowledgeable and proficient riders who are capable of caring for and improving the welfare of any horse or pony. 

All very serious stuff! 

However, we try to make the learning enjoyable and The Pony Club has a tried and tested structure for educating its members through Achievement Badges and Efficiency Tests.  Training for these takes place throughout the year.  Certain age restrictions apply through necessity, but generally, most Members will have plenty to be getting on with, and the Efficiency Tests mark their progress through the tiers.

Fylde are currently using the EQUINE WORKING NOTEBOOKS as a basis for training for the Efficiency Tests.  They are a useful teaching aid and support the Pony Club Manual of Horsemanship, copies of which may be obtained from the Secretary.
