Following
the re-introduction in 1989, the first pair of birds bred
successfully in 1992.
These
graphs illustrate the average number of chicks per nest
( brood size ) that were observed whilst tagging and ringing
in excess of 650 broods over the
last 15 years ( 1992 to 2006 ). In excess of 1350 chicks
were fitted with identifying leg rings and many fitted
with wing tags.
