Luminescence dating of medieval and Tudor Essex Brick
The conventional archaeological approach to dating historic brick will be evaluated.  A brief outline of the luminescence technique will be presented and the opportunity for applying it will be discussed.  Examples will be given of using the technique to evaluate the historic brick buildings of Essex.
