Girton Players

Girton Players is a village theatre group, based in Girton and was formed in October 1995. We usually stage two or three productions a year at the Glebe School in Girton, recently also using the bigger stage at Impington Village College. We have entered the Cambridge Drama Festival with some success - winning the Festival outright in 2001.

We usually meet on Wednesdays at the Cambridge Academy of English in Girton, but rehearse on other nights too. We also hold acting workshops, social functions, memorable after-show parties and arrange outings to the theatre.

We always welcome new members, both as actors or to help backstage. Enthusiasm essential - Experience is NOT! You don't have to live in Girton to join - we have members from Cambridge, the surrounding villages and as far afield as Saffron Walden.
