Inter Area Cross Championships - 18th January '04

The North west fielded a strong team again thanks to Stuart Johnsons organisation. This year the event was held at Bolton a new course for me. The circuit was at Queens Park on a large reasonable hilly fun circuit.

I enjoyed it! I was not right on the pace but the technical, tricky circuit made for lots of decisions on which was the best line and it was changing all the time. I ended up fourth, Shaun Snoddon and Rob Jebb were battling it out for the win, I was racing with Dave Collins again for much of the race he shook me off with just over a lap to go.

As this was a team event with the North West riders finishing 2nd, 3rd & 4th it did not take much working out who won the event.
