National Championships - 11th January '04

National Championships is the one everyone wants to do well at. Unfortunately it felt like I was having my finger nails pulled out for an hour. I made a good start but struggled for much of the race, I felt like there were a few glimmers of form but I just had not done the training. I felt fit from working on my house but this does not transfer to cross racer!

It is great when people are shouting for you but when they are shouting and you can hear in their voice that they think you are going bad it does not spur you on!

I finished 9th - my worst result ever but I will have a nice house!

GIANT won the team though with myself, Paul Oldham and Jamie Norfolk.
