I had my hernia operation back in October and since then I have not raced. I was not sure what I wanted to do in 2005. I knew I wanted to do something a bit different. I will still be involved with Giant riding in their colours but not at all the national events. I fancy doing some of the marathon events, enjoying them more than pushing the pace at the front.

As the weather improves so will my riding programme, I hope to be in good form for the Mountain Mayhem 24 hour race.

I will be doing some organised weekends and other PR days.
