| C2C Orange/NCH charity ride |
Over the long weekend 13th -15th September a group of Orange (mobile phones) completed a charity bike ride from Port Carlisle to Newcastle. The group was made up of 43, ranging from Graham Howe (CEO) right down to an apprentice. It was organised by Tall Stories who I was helping by guiding groups. On Friday evening I meet Graham Howe at Port Carlisle. He had been in Paris all day to announce Orange results. He had then flown to Carlisle to ride the C2C. The rest of the group had completed this leg in the afternoon. Due to his other commitments Graham had to ride this leg in the dark to catch them up! I was given the job of guiding him along the dark country lanes to Penrith! We made it at about 10:45pm and spent Saturday & Sunday completing the rest of the route. The group will have raised £100,000 for NCH...great. Here are a few of my snaps.
