Having previously written for big bands "Suburban
Gorillas", "New Perspectives", "The Vortex Foundation
Big Band" and a quintet, "Lunar Spell"; Andrea now
takes on the challenge of the piano trio. The music is a combination
of Andrea Vicari's "atmospheric and original" (TIME
OUT) compositions, and her unique arrangements of classic
jazz standards; including "Bewitched", "Fly Me to
the Moon", and "Someday My Prince will Come".
The trio features brilliant virtuoso drummer Sebastian
Rochford, an integral member of "Acoustic Ladyland" whose
own group "Polar Bear" is making waves with their CD on
Babel "Dim Lit". Sebastian recently won the BBC jazz award
in the "Rising star" category.
Andrea Vicari: piano
Dorian Lockett - double bass

Django Bates an irreverant wit and a wanton disregard for musical
borders. Yet she can swing with the best of them" Neville
